Italia, Sicilia, Ortigia island listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, Syracuse, Piazza Duomo (Duomo square), the cathedral of the Nativity of the Holly Virgin Mary (duomo) built around the 6th century by a byzantine bishop on the ruins of a greek temple dedicated to Athena then transformed by the Arabs into a Mosque and into a church again by the Normans, finally during the 18th century a facade in baroque and Rococo style is built by architect Andrea Palma, statue of Saint Marcian made by sculptor from the town of Palerme Ignazio Marabitti during the 18th century
